Description :
[O5/02 : Updated for V3.0. With Salma’s nerf, speed requirements have changed. The speed of the boss is now 179 (including the -15% from Salma), so the cyclop must have 180, and all the other monsters 181+. This is way harder ; especially for the drake. However once this is done it works excactly the same]
Setup for Lvl 8 :
- The F. cycl must be just fast enough to outspeed the boss, so ideally 180 (The boss has 210, so 179 with Salma’s aura). All the other mobs must be faster than him ( except maybe Shogol if he’s very tanky). Salma 5* heroic of course.
- Also the F. cycl must have low EHP to activate invincibility mode immediately in wave 1 (see below)
- Plus, the F. cycl must have high res to avoid beeing taunted/drained by the adds in wave 5 (he must hit the boss each and every wave to extend silence)
Strategy for Lvl 8:
- Wave 1 : hit the water succ with the S1 of all your mobs and kill her (if the drake doesn’t replay, restart). Then let the 3 others attack. You must have an EHP allowing your cyclop to be in invincibility mode (possibly with an additional S2) whenever the Cabit crits - in my case I also need the Justiciar to non-crit. If that doesn’t work, restart. If that worked, use Salma to steal the ATB of the justiciar (she can steal the cyclop’s buff and kill him otherwise), use the S3 of the earth shaman to clean the add buffs (they can kill the drake with reflect), and resurect the Drake if needed.
- Wave 2 : if the cyclop is in invicibility mode and if you have the correct speed setup, nothing bad can happen.
- Wave 3 : is tricky. You must find a combination of attacks where the drake doesn’t kill himself with reflect. I do it with the staff + 2 S1 of the drake.
- Wave 4 : same as wave 2, except for the justiciar. Kill her ASAP. Keep the staff. Don’t forget to use the S2 of the cyclop in all waves whenever it’s available, because he regains some HP between waves.
- Wave 5 : silence with the shaman, then extend indefinitely with the cyclop. Clean the adds in priority, they can kill the cyclop with their lifedrain debuff, or they can taunt him, and in both case it’s dead (I have 135% res on cycop and it seems to be way enough to resist 90% of the time). Whenever possible during the fight, use Shogol’s S2, also silence and strip the add buf (counter-attack) all the time with the earth Shaman.
In case you miss the silence initially, don’t give up, you still have the invincibility, so it’s not lost.
Replacements :
- Any rez or anti-death should work instead of Shogol I think.
- Any silence should work instead of the E. shaman
Level 9 :
Works exactly the same. You will probably have to add a little bit of EHP to the cyclop, because mobs hit harder. In wave 5 – which is way easier – kill the adds first.
